Anniema is originally from NYC  and  has been living  in California for over 20 years.

She began  organic and sustainable farming in 2005 and was introduced to permaculture methods in 2007. Since then, she started studying land and their natural ecosystems.

She holds multiple certifications, including PDC, permaculture educator, herbalist and  watershed management designer.

She is passionate about the whole system design, however her focus is water mitigation systems. Water is life, so  planting the water always comes first. Her additional focus is stewardship of soil, trees, seeds and cannabis.

Anniema brings to the School of Earth Medicine abundant experience of farming in a dry landscape and a deep overstanding of permaculture design.

She loves to be in the role of facilitator and educator. She believes that knowledge should not be obtained but always shared. As a teacher and  a lifelong student, she is always ready to learn from every situation.

She is owner of her landscape company Edge of Resilience and Co-creator of her farm, Pa' Madia Tierra .

Anniema is also co-founder of R.O.O.T.S. with Maya Blow.
